CANADA'S ATLANTIC COAST NEW BRUNSWICK: (506) 453-2964 NEWFOUNDLAND: (709) 729-2832 NOVA SCOTIA: (902) 424-4171 PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND: (902) 368-6332 For the first time ever, four provinces of Canada's Atlantic Coast came together in a press conference held at The Four Seasons in New York City on April 11th. Representatives of New Brunswick, Labrador and Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island touted the beauty, convenience, and diversity of their special regions. From gentle beaches to raging oceans, flat cycling trails lined with countryside scenery to majestic mountains, salt marshes to towering sandstone cliffs, there is a little something for everyone. Recreational activities abound - sailing, fishing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, ballooning, summer theatre, and local festivals are just a few. And the Atlantic Coast of Canada is loaded with history and culture; there are pioneer villages, fishing villages, curious little museums, and historic sites galore. It is easy to get to Atlantic Canada. Air Nova has non-stop flights from Newark. This summer Air Nova will operate three daily jet flights between Halifax and Newark; in a mere two hours you could be in another country. And, if that's not incentive enough, the American dollar is currently worth about $1.50 in Canada - not necessarily good news for the United States, but great encouragement for anyone traveling to Canada. Canada's Atlantic Coast could provide the perfect summer vacation for you and your family. - Laurie Lawson-
