On September 13th the Florida Division of
Tourism and USAir brought the "Florida
Delegation" to New York City's beautiful
Rainbow Room for a gala event featuring
vacation opportunities in the Sunshine State. 
Members of the media met with representatives
from Amelia Island, Bradenton, Busch Gardens
Tampa Bay, Daytona Beach, the Florida Keys
and Key West, Fontainebleau Hilton,
Kissimmee/St. Cloud, Lee County, Greater
Miami, Longboat Key Club, Sandestin Resorts,
Sanibel Harbour Resort, South Seas
Plantation, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, and
Tampa/Hillsborough, as well as Amtrack and
Alamo Rent A Car.

Florida has long been a favorite vacation
spot, and there are several reasons why.  The
pleasant, sunny climate and the 1,100 miles
of beaches--12 of which are listed among the
nation's top 20 by Laboratory for Coastal
Research Director Stephen Leatherman--draw
millions of tourists every year.  Easily
accessible by land and air, Florida has over
700 campgrounds, 1,050 golf courses, 145
state parks, national parks, seaports, and a
variety of activities to enhance your
vacation days.  Resorts, spas, and
restaurants with fine dining abound.  

The most difficult decision you will
encounter with a Florida vacation is choosing
